MURRAY, James
December 27, 1941 – May 22, 2024 Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Kenny’s Pond Retirement Home. James (Jim) Murray aged 82 years. Predeceased by his mother, Catherine Murray; stepfather, Patrick Breen (Mary Ellen); parents-inlaw, Catherine and Patrick Dunne; and favourite aunt, Marjorie Murray. Left with fond and loving memories his wife of 48 years, Maureen (nee Dunne); children, Cathy (Gavin Boyle) and Dan (Krista); grandchildren, Madeline and Brendan Boyle; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gordon (Yvonnnde), Dunne Joe Dunne (Phyllis) and Mary Dunne (Eric, deceased); as well as nieces, nephews, and relatives, including members of the White and Breen families, as well as numerous life long friends in St. John’s and St. Mary’s. Special thank you to the staff at Kenny’s Pond Retirement Home for their care over the past few years. Cremation has taken place. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, Lemarchant Road. Visitation on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, May 27, 2024, at 2 p.m. from Divine Mercy Parish (formerly St. Paul’s Parish), Newfoundland Drive. Inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Community Food Sharing Association. https://www. cfsa.nf.net/
